Me in a nutshell

My friends would probably describe me as pessimistic, sarcastic, funny and always there when needed. Not to blow my own trumpet (if only) but it has been said on quite a few occasions that I have a wicked sense of humour and my ability to turn even the most benign of phrases into sexual innuendo is second to none!!
I go out with friends a lot, Cocktail Bars, Pubs, Lounges and usually finishing in a club- we have the best times!! I love (and hate) going to the gym, I go in a morning to build some energy up for the rest of the day and am determined to get a six-pack before I die! My reward for getting a six-pack is actually going to get the tattoo that I am desperate for!

Because they’re a sensitive soul inside, they can sometimes present a seemingly impervious outer-shell to protect themselves from psychological slings and arrows. They may be tempted to ‘fire the first shot’ in order to deflect any criticism even before it happens. Being sensitive – especially to the feelings of others - is a very attractive quality and displaying their soft side may bring out feelings of protectiveness in others.

They enjoy socializing with friends and come across as friendly; engaging with others quite easily. On nights out they sometimes prefer to sit back and enjoy the show while others take centre stage. Dinner parties with friends where the banter and laughter flows easily may appeal to them more than wild nights on the town with new and different people. They come across as relaxed and happy and know when to ‘call it a night’. As long they have enough ‘me’ time they’ll always have time for friends.

They won’t be walked over by anyone but won’t cause any scenes either. They may appear indecisive but that could be because they prefer others to take control. Being fairly easy-going, their laid-back approach may come accross as lazy or uncaring. Being put on the spot makes them feel uncomfortable so if they need to make a decision they like to take their time and weigh things up. Even then, they may want to leave their suggestions open to debate – a trait others may see as fair-minded, team-spirited and inclusive.

Traditional

Although there are times when this person wants to buck the trend, they get a sense of security and belonging from traditional values. They like the idea of the ‘white picket fence’ but may want to paint it blue or green. They have respect for rules and institutions and feel comfortable with the way things are. They won’t resist change if there is a good reason for it, and embrace the part of modern life that they see as being ‘forward-thinking’. However, they do like to root their beliefs in what has gone before.

Spontaneous

Although on the surface this person seems to ride life as though it’s the crest of a wave – they have called the coast guard for information about tides beforehand! They are excited by new challenges and are happy to ‘go with the flow’ and try new experiences. They’ll be up for a spontaneous after-work drink with friends but not if it means they miss the last bus home. They’re independent and take balanced risks. They will be happy to date someone who is out of their comfort zone for the experience but when their instincts about a person or situation kick in, they’ll stop and listen. Although they’re ready for fun, they certainly wouldn’t call themselves reckless.

Trusting

Trusting others is high on their priorities and is one of the foundation stones on which they build a relationship. If it isn’t there, or someone betrays their trust, they find it quite hard to forget – even if they do manage to forgive. They are fair-minded and accepting and may readily believe a person’s reason for letting them down. Equally, they will feel real feelings of guilt if they feel they have lost someone’s trust. They’ll share their thoughts and passions with others and will come across as open-minded.

Optimistic

On the whole, they have a sunny outlook on life. If set-backs happen they may spend a moment licking their wounds but will quickly dust themselves down and get on track. Others find their attitude quite inspirational and they may find friends seek their advice. They take a balanced view on most things and will always err on the side of hope and positivity rather than brood on the negative. They’re open to new opportunities and will actively seek solutions to problems and explore new avenues rather than let life pass them by.

Confident

They’re certainly no wallflower but sometimes there may be chinks in the confident exterior. Although unflappable most of the time, they are able to take the opinions of others on board and are able to deal with criticism quite well. Being comfortable with who they are means they don’t actively seek approval but do appreciate it when it comes their way; it makes them feel good about themselves. Because they can have moments when they’re a bit unsure of themselves, they’re perfectly placed to boost the confidence of others.
